Marieke Nijkamp's haunting mystery Before I Let Go follows Corey, who returns to the remote Alaskan town of Lost Creek after the sudden, mysterious death of her best friend Kyra. Instead of answers, Corey finds a town that has turned Kyra into a local saint, holding vigils and refusing to speak honestly about what really happened to her. As Corey digs beneath the town's eerie devotion, she uncovers hard truths about grief, mental illness, and the things left unsaid between even the closest friends. Atmospheric and emotionally powerful, this novel is a gripping read for fans of YA mystery.
